History:

With annual Sales exceeding Euro 1.596 Billion (2008) and a work force of over 20 008 people, DEKRA is the market leading supplier of periodical vehicle roadworthy inspection and related expert services in Europe. DEKRA’s 480 branches complete 10.5 million vehicle inspections in Germany and its subsidiaries complete over 12 million vehicle tests annually throughout Europe.

DEKRA was established in Berlin in 1925 and was approved as a vehicle monitoring organisation in 1960. With the fall of the Berlin Wall, DEKRA established a comprehensive vehicle testing network in the former East Germany.
